During the first pandemic, Axone was making 2step-ish and UK bassy
productions in his apartment, culminating in the "Spring's getting
late" EP a year later. At the time, Emile de Wilde aka Mayflo
introduced Axone to an online community that organized musical
battles on discord. It was fun, enriching and unifying for an entire
branch of French electronic music. Little did Axone know that there
was a massive community in France gathered around the aesthetics
of British electronic music. UK Funky, UK bass, 2step, Dustep, Jungle
and DnB... Here he befriended Agôn, Tim Karbon and discovered the
dark side of Messes Basses under his alias Ashyl...

Speaking of darkness, Axone's involvement in the bass scene led him
to discover the gloomy and sometimes overly serious side of this type of music. An idea came to him... "What if we brought Bass music back to the House dancefloor we know with Beat X Changers? What if we made a bass music album that could be danced to by our people, our community, the dancers? "

Although Beat X is more naturally oriented towards house and hip-
hop, the label is above all eclectic, with no real aesthetic claims. Its
aim is to showcase the music of emerging artists, and to develop
thematic projects that bring together different disciplines and scenes.

Bass X Changers is part of this transversal vision of music. Axone's
only watchword for the three artists featured on this opus was: "make it danceable, not just by tapping your foot or shaking your butt, but make it so that dancers can really get into it".
So here it is, Bass X Changers : Two bangers tracks from Ashyl and Tim Karbon and two more introspective landscape by Agôn and Axone, crafted with love and ready to make you bounce.
